Greetings.

My name is Jennifer, and I am a university graduate and native speaker from the USA. I have been supporting children with English language learning in Zurich for many years now, and before that in Greece. I am offering support for children in preschool, kindergarten, primary school, and secondary school. The length and style of my lessons are age appropriate. For example, the younger children may get a dash of theatrical showmanship, while the older students get to select topics they want to explore, perhaps in science, history, politics, or social media.

I offer a full English-immersion environment, speaking only in English.

NATIVE SPEAKERS

I can support parents who are interested in providing their children, as young as 4 years of age, additional cognitive development opportunities. A 30-minute segment offers the children opportunities to strengthen their reading, remembering, visualizing, and evaluating skills. I can also provide tutoring support in other subjects (math, science, history) for primary school children.

ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

I can support non-native speaking primary and secondary school children in building the confidence and the skills necessary for speaking, reading, and writing in English. The segment length is determined with input from both parent(s) and the child. It should be based on such issues as skill set, attention span and need. I have helped children with regular homework, test preparation and special projects.

ADULTS

I can also support adults with their English learning efforts, whether it is for advancing a career or just for the simple pleasure of learning.
