Description personnelle
I have been doing science studying embryo development for many years. I love academic research and the experimental approach to solving nature puzzles. I also love mathematical puzzles. That brought me to the idea of working with school students. Since my early years at the University I was helping younger students focusing on two major subjects: biology and maths.
Education and Training:
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Goettingen University, Germany
- B.Sc. in Life Sciences, Major Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Tel Aviv University, Israel
Tutoring experience:
Over ten years’ of maths tutoring experience for schools and colleges. I am familiar with MYP and IB maths curriculum as taught at LGB school, Geneva.
During years of tutoring, I have developed sets of exercises to help students practice for their tests and final exams. A regular practice is paramount for achieving good results. I use unique approach and develop specific strategy for each student considering their individual needs.
- A private tutor for students at the International School of Geneva and College du Leman. MYP - IB. Help with math and sciences - homework, essays, tests.
- OTA (online teaching assistant) in Biology and Biochemistry with BrainMass, top rating by the students
- Tutor in Molecular and Cell Biology for Master Students at the International Max Planck Research School, University of Goettingen, Germany
Please, note: I am currently away from Geneva for my science work. I would be happy to work over internet and it would be possible to schedule individual meetings several times per term (over the weekend or as agreed) to enhance the performance.
