Hello! I am Dr. Brianna K., an extensively educated, experienced, enthusiastic and creative science teacher from the USA who has been to CERN and CHERNOBYL.

With nearly 20 years of experience teaching a wide range of subjects, mostly at the high school level, such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Neuroanatomy, Environmental Science, Anatomy & Physiology, Maths, Statistics, Individuals & Society, Psychology, Geography, Visual Arts, Art History, English among others— I know a lot about sciences, maths and writing and a lot about how to teach them!

Since 2019, I have been offering high-quality academic support and coaching to students in the greater Zürich area!

I know the nuances of the IB, AP, IGCSE, and A-level curricula because I have read and taught the details. I know the nature of the questions students are expected to answer on their exam papers because I have answered and explained many of the previous tests.

I am 100% a private, professional tutor who engages students in understanding challenging scientific concepts by using simple language, relating ideas to the everyday world, and establishing interdisciplinary connections. I create a space for questions, mistakes, fun, and success. I aim to nurture motivation by framing learning within the Japanese context of kaizan, or steady improvement.

My teaching passions are test preparation and assisting students in research, experimental design, fieldwork & writing: IA, IO, EE, TOK, PP, and CS among others!

My goal is to bring an 'interconnectedness of all things' perspective in which the so-called ‘hard’ sciences interact with the ‘softer’ sciences to inspire an in-depth understanding. This is exactly the perspective demanded by top, international curricula.
