Boni Joi

I have a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Columbia University, a Master of Science in Information Library Science from Pratt Institute in New York, and a CELTA certificate. I am a native English speaker and have intermediate German language skills. I have taught English at the Klubschule Mirgos Lucerne since January 2019 and at the Sprachenschule in Luzern, as well as private lessons. I have taught Starter classes through the C1 level. I have a high level of language awareness, am patient with my students, and am open to different learning preferences. I like to create activities that allow learners to generate their own discoveries. Having worked for many years as an archivist and information professional in retail advertising I understand the needs of students who must learn English for their profession. I love helping students reach their language goals in addition, I know how difficult it is to learn a language and I have empathy for my students.
