Teaching Experience:
1. The ALPE Association, Geneva, Switzerland
Part-time English teacher to children aged 6-19, in the afternoons, (preparation for the Cambridge University language exams recognized by the Council of Europe from A-1 through to C2). I also have several private students on an ad-hoc basis from time to time.
2. Simultaneusly, on request, I work from home as an ad-hoc translator/Style-Editor for an Italian Head Hunter.
3. Prior to this I taught English and other subjects for 1 year in each of the following schools:
1. Professor of English and German, John Florio Interpreters Institute, Verona, Italy.
2. Special needs teacher, English and Italian, Monseigneur Chiott Primary School, Verona, Italy (English/Italian medium)
3. Grade 3 class teacher, (All subjects, English medium) St. Xavier’s School, Kathmandu, Nepal.
In addition I participated in a summer school run by the NGO “All Special Kids”, catering to children with learning difficulties. (Autism, Dyspraxia/Dyslexia/Down’s Syndrome/Attention deficit/Hyperactivity),
In 2011, I undertook a 6-month morning assignment as a class teacher to 4 children (Grade 2 and 3) on the waiting list for admission to the International School of Geneva who had arrived in the last trimester of the academic year from the USA. This was through an Organization called Prince Advisory Services in Gland, which subsequently moved its activities back to the USA.
I also ran a Gamayya (Social centre) in Cairo for 3 years. One of the most important projects was teaching English to girls from poor areas.
